Model Linda SLAYS publication with Verity Visions

This photoset featuring Linda was accepted into the magazine within hours of me submitting it. That was months ago. They followed up to confirm the feature. Everything was approved, the work was locked in, and we waited.
Then they withheld the tear sheets.
We were told that if we wanted to access the digital version of the magazine, we could either pay for it or wait two full months to receive tear sheets. None of that was mentioned during the original exchange. The photoset was used. The magazine was sold. They profited from the content while withholding access from the people who actually created it.
That is not how a professional magazine should operate.
I want to be very clear that Linda did everything right. She showed up, delivered, and brought real presence to this shoot. She was accepted immediately. She deserved better, and she deserves to be seen for what she gave to this set. That’s why I’m still sharing the feature.
But I’m also sharing the truth behind what happened, because other photographers and models deserve to know. If you submit to this magazine, understand that you may not get access to your work unless you pay for it or wait months after the issue is already released. That’s the system they’re running. No transparency. No proper contributor treatment. Just a product built off free creative labor.
Linda was accepted into this magazine within hours of submission. That was months ago. She is the reason this set is worth anything, and she deserves your focus. Just make a mental note of how this company operates and protect your work. Do not connect with businesses that prioritize their bottom line over the people who make the content possible.
